The Favors

My fiance (who will practically take over any project that involves the hot glue gun) and I made 120 of these little basket to fill with personalized mini-hersheys bars.  We ended up with two favors, because I wanted to make jam and my mom bought these candy bars.

Bubbles of Good Wishes

Couldn't resist getting the bubbles and decorating them with our colors :) Unfortunately they aren't as easy to make as the look, but one day with the Maid of Honor and my future mother in law and we finally knocked them all out! :P

Home-Made Peach Jam- The Making Of

Fitting in with our summer theme, we decided to make home-made jam as the favors.  We made 92 jars... four cups of peaches and seven and a half cups of sugar every eight jars... It was actually a lot of fun :-)

Escort Cards

Yay! This is my favorites project! I tried to make the labels myself, but I was an utter failure at it LOL... I ended up ordering them and loved them!!! :-)  We made one per couple/family and they will be at their tables with their names on the tags.

Tissue Pomanders

Boy were these fun to figure out LOL! Made the pink one first and probably won't actually be using it at the wedding, because the flowers are all different sizes and falling out :/  When I made the second one though, I figured out that I didn't need to put as many flowers on and that if you put hot glue on the wire right before you stick it in the styroam two amazing things happen! 1) they don't fall out (duh!) and 2) the hot glue melts the styrafoam and they go in effortlessly :)  Now I just need to make eight to ten more of these! :)

I say a lot of people doing this on the knot and I just thought they were so cute that I fit it in as a last minute DIY project three weeks before my wedding :)

The Flower Girl Baskets

I really likes the look of the traditional wicker basket for the flower girls, instead of the silk ones.  At first I was just going to leave them alone, but I couldn't resist sprucing them up a bit!  All i ended up using was left over ribbon from other projects that I weaves through with the wicker and then added the bows at the end.

Something Blue

My something blue!  I saw a lot of people putting "I DO" or their intitials under their shoes in blue rhinestones, when I saw there little flowers I thought they'd be perfect :)

My real centerpieces will have a bundle of real lillies instead of this fake one I got just to get an idea of what it will look like.  Also decided against using the tea lights

Dyeing my Crinoline

This was a lot of fun!!! My FI did it with me and I was really excited about how it turned out.  I don't think I'll wear it for the ceremony and reception but I think it will be really fun for pictures :)

Bridal Party Tees

One of my Bride's Maids is also getting married this summer so for our bachlorette party, we went on a cruise to Mexico with our bridal parties.  We both made these personalized tees and the members of our bridal parties made black ones that said "Maid of Honor" or "Bride's Maid."  Everyone on the crusie loved them!!! :)

The Kid's Favors

Found these coloring books and crayons online and made little favors for the kids.  I still haven't decided whether or not to give them to them at the ceremony or the reception tho :/

Card "Box"

I had originally not thought much about making a card box and had just boughten a bird cage for the cards.  But, after seeing all the lovely card boxes all the other DIY girls were making, I wanted to make one too.  Since I already had the birdcage, I decided against buying boxes and starting over.  This was about all I could think to do to spruce it up :) Would love suggestions to make it better if you have any!

Bride's Maid's Baskets

Baskets I made for my Bride's Maids.  Each one contains: flip-flops for dancing, one-time facial, lotion, loufa, hand sanitizer, body wash, make-up bag, sticky notes, and those oil blotter things lol.  I also got them personalized photoalbums, but they didn't fit in the bag.

OOT Bags-A Contant Work in Progress

Below are the things I have been working on for our OOT Bags.  On the left is a mock-up of our welcome not.  The first page is a welcoming message, the second an invitation to the rehearsal dinner and the third is an invitation to a brunch Sunday morning.  On the right, our coffee favors I will be putting in the bags.  They were the favors for my bridal shower and my bridal party ordered twenty too many.  I made new labels and took off the bridal party ones.  They don't look as nice as I was hoping, but they'll work :)

OOT Bags- The Finished Product

Each Bag Includes:
-Welcome note with an invitation to the rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch

Guest Book Inspiration- Having trouble getting started on this one

I think this is a cute idea, because you can use it as an address book after the wedding.  The cards inside have a place for guests to write their name, address and phone number as well as a message to the bride and groom.  After the wedding, my FI and I can add cards for other people as well.  Haven't started yet, but I'm really hoping I'll having enough time to squeeze in this one last DIY project :-D
